Blame the culture
Vishwanatha Reddy

Sir, In India it's not about governance anymore, so it is not very surprising to see governance take a back seat. It will be a cliché to blame people for electing incapable, corrupt and mindless representatives because who else would you vote for; all of them are the same. We have to blame the whole culture. All that the present society teaches the young children is, he who has money, has the power and all of us from the previous generation have adopted the same culture. When technology and good education were becoming the modern mantra, it was hoped that corrupt politicians would be side-stepped and would lose importance. We were wrong. The politicians emerged over these and found new ways of corruption. I wonder if there is a single politician in entire India who cares about the prosperity of the country and the community. Politicians have found their own ways of using the current economy and technology boom for their use, they promise modern infrastructure and do nothing but swallow loads of money and property allotted for infrastructure development. One is left to wonder how India would be 20 years from now. Would we be still cribbing about corrupt politicians and their endless greed to use everything for their own good? Future looks very dull.
