The Lokayukta’s notices to legislators filing incomplete information on their assets figured in Legislative Assembly on Friday with some members taking exception for being viewed in a “suspicious manner”.

Ramesh Kumar (Cong) said, the notices and the subsequent clarifications gave an impression that all legislators were ‘thieves’. J C Madhuswamy (JD U) wondered  logic behind Lokayukta  office demanding details about SB account of the legislators. “What is the point in furnishing these details as I can draw the money any time from the bank”, he asked. B Shivaram (Cong) said he had been filing his assets every year for the last 17 years, but he was never n treated so shabbily.
