T.I.M.E., a Hyderabad-based training institute, on Monday said that it plans to expand its presence across the country and open more centres in the eastern and central regions of India. The company plans to increase their network of offices from 130 offices in 70 cities to 400 offices in 200 cities by 2012.
Speaking to Deccan Herald, Ajay Arora, Director, T.I.M.E. (Bangalore) said, “We are looking to enter regions like Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, where we will not only look at coaching for competitive exams like CAT or IIT-JEE but introduce training classes for local entrance exams for universities in those regions.”
In Karnataka T.I.M.E. which has centres in Mangalore and Mysore plans to enter other cities including Belgaum, Hubli and Dharwad. The company is also looking at adding seven offices in Bangalore. The training institute, which recently touched a turnover of Rs 100 crore, expects this figure to reach Rs 150 crore this current fiscal and Rs 600 crore by 2012.
Mr Arora said that the company plans to investment close to Rs 150 crore over the next five years for its expansion.
New ventures
T.I.M.E. plans on entering formal education through a network of schools. “We have shortlisted Hyderabad and Kochi to start off with. The first school should open by 2009,” said Mr Arora.
With law becoming a major career option today, T.I.M.E. is tapping the opportunity and plans to start coaching for entrance exams into law colleges.
