Dr Banandur Kempaiah on Monday took over as the Station Director of the Gulbarga Doordarshan Kendra.
     However, the post was  vacant from the last few months.

Mr Kempaiah, who is a well known folk artist, was earlier with the Bangalore Doordarshan Kendra as executive producer.

He is not new to Gulbarga as he had earlier served as station director of the Akashvani here. Having rich experience both in the audio and visual medium Dr Kempaiah has also served as Trivendurm Doordarshan Kendra director and as station director of Mangalore All India Radio.
