Rama Subba new SP of Mysore

 Mr Rama Subba, took over as the new SP of Mysore district on Monday. Mr Bhagavan Das who has been serving as the Additional SP handed over the charge to him.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Subba said that he would serve to the best of his abilities and was happy to be appointed for the post in Mysore. This is not Mr Subba’s first posting here as he has  served as the Mysore District Lokayukta SP for six months.

His entry into the police department dates back to 1985.

He started his career as a DySP in Balki. He has also served as Additional DySP in Bidar district, as the CoD branch SP, Bangalore Task force SP, Bangalore SP, Bangalore Intelligence Department SP and the SP of the Bangalore Lokayukta.

Mr Subba is originally from Chintamani in kolar district. While he completed his primary and college education in his hometown, he did his PG in the University of Mysore. He has also served as a lecturer in the University of  Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore.

Mr Murugan, who was the Mysore SP has been transferred to Bijapur. Mr Subba served as the DCP Traffic, Bangalore, previously.
