A tenant and his friend were arrested by the  police for trying to assault his land lady and burgle her house in Haleguddadahalli in J J Nagar police limits.  The accused are: Muzeeb (22) and Ansar Khan (23).
Gohar Taj owned a three-storey house in Devaraj Urs Nagar and had sub-let the third floor to Muzeeb’s family while she resided in the ground floor.
As Gohar was alone in her house, Muzeeb took advantage of the situation and tried to rob her along with his friend.
Masked men
They wore masks and knocked at her door.
When she opened the door, they threatened to strangulate her. However, Gohar cried for help and the neighbours rushed in.
They surrounded the accused and alerted the police, who arrested them.
