The oppressed, poor and the marginalised can fight for their rights, if they are made aware of the various laws, said Judge M Ramesh.
He was speaking at the Legal Awareness Camp organised by the Law Forum and the various voluntary organisations, held at the premises of the Tovinakere grama panchayat.
Every individual should have legal awareness. It is very essential to led a peaceful life, without making big out of a small issue, he said.
Having an awareness of the various laws enables one to resolve small issues among themselves, he added.
The State government by organising awareness camps in the rural areas is facilitating in creating legal awareness among the rural folk, he observed.
Zilla panchayat member P R Sudhakaralal inaugurated the camp.
