The launch of ‘Couture collection’ — Diamonds, Gold Jadau and Victorian — of the Bhuwalka Jewellers was a glittering affair all along. Besides the sparkling and ethereal collection, there was glitter on the other side of the ramp as well. Models, movie stars and the usual Page 3 fixtures had trooped in, in droves. The function was unusual in more ways as well.
Besides, wine flowed, rather unusual for the launch. With the P3Ps bent on making most of the occasion, the cameras too merrily went click, click, click. For once, the razzmatazz was blinding.
Sheetal Malhar was flown in from Mumbai especially for the event. Adorned in Bhuwalka's creations, she strutted around to the delight of the lenspersons. "Every woman loves jewellery. I like something thin and fragile and anything in white gold," she said.
Plenty of thought had gone into crafting and designing the collection.
"The designs are trendy, chic yet traditional in their appearance and appeal," observed Ruchika Bhuwalka, one of the two designers of the collection.
The collection is priced between Rs 5,000 and Rs one lakh with diamonds and white gold being used rather lavishly.
The show was put together by Prasad Bidapa. Raving about the intricacy of each piece, Bidapa added to the evening's gyaan: "Every piece is elegant and has a touch of simplicity to it."
