Monsoon was week over the State. Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka; at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka. Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Kollur (Udupi dt), Gerusoppa (Uttara Kannada dt), Agumbe 3 each; Kammardi (Chikmagalur dt) 2; Mani (Dakshina Kannada dt), Bhatkal, Shirali, Honavar, Kadra (all Uttara Kannada dt), Madikeri, Sagar (Shimoga dt) 1 each.

Forecast: Forecast valid until the morning of Sunday: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Shimoga, Kodagu, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall over the State.
