Interior design
RLS Institute of Design, founded in June 2004, imparts education in interior design to students. Located at Jayamahal main road, it was founded by Mr B H Rathi and was started with the idea to form a design institute of international standards.
Mr B H Rathi, also the Chief Architect of Rathi Associates, received his degree in architecture from Visveshariah Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur, in 1969. The Interior Design education at RLS is a process of sequential learning framed around a model of experimentation. This model is based on a belief that interior design is purposeful problem solving emphasising issues of: human safety, operational (functional) utility, physical fit, psychological fit, and contextual fit.
The students are guided by experienced practising interior designers, which enhances their ability to programme, design and supervise the implementation of interior design solutions. Coaching classes

Free Kannada classes
Vijayabharathi Pre-University College in collaboration with the Department of Kannada and Culture, Government of Karnataka, is organising free Kannada speaking classes for non-Kannadigas from the 2nd week of July 2007. Duration of the course is 2 months. The classes will be held in the college campus between 5 pm and 7 pm thrice a week, and will be conducted by expert teachers. The Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath is starting six month-Short Term Certificate courses in painting and three months in Photography, and Animation Courses, from July 16, 2007. Eligibility criteria : Pass in SSLC (No age limit)

Puppetry
Sutradhar invites teachers to a puppet making workshop by Ranjan De on July 27 and 28. Ranjan is a Chennai based designer trained at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.  He is particularly interested in alternative, low cost, and creative learning methodologies.
Ranjan would demonstrate how materials such as newspaper, tablet blisters and bottle caps can be magically tranformed. With cuts and snips, a bit of glue and a dash of colour, teachers will make a variety of puppets and cuppets, and a rudimentary puppet theatre.

PG Diploma in E-Governance
