AND LAST WEEK...
Suraj

Oxyygen, with a lounge-pub and party zone, gave the month a perfect end with Torq, which presented a noon-time party - Chillzz on June 30 at Brigade Road.
The party started at around 12 noon and music got the crowd into a trance with DJ Kumar spinning some hip-hop tracks. Indian and Chinese dishes were available to quench the hungry stomachs. There was no bar on boozing and smoking. The party focussed on the college crowd, the youth in the age group of 18 to 24. A few guys formed a human train and were running around the dance floor.
Shreyas, who organises these parties, talked about the uniqueness of Torq and Oxyygen. “Though we let people smoke and booze in here, doping is a strict no-no,” he said. Since these are noon parties, girls, too, feel secure to come here either alone or in groups, he added. “They can always get help when in need,” she assured.
Shreyas is planning to organise a freshers’ party next month, since most of the degree colleges would re-open at that time.
