A rare monsoon wedding in Kerala
From R Gopakumar,DHNS,Thiruvananthapuram:

Parents tying the marital knot at least once in front of their children may be the stuff of Hollywood lore.
But an ordinary family of Kadakkal in Kollam has made conservative Kerala sit up and take notice by aping the same at a rare “monsoon wedding” on Monday.
The circumstances that forced Saju to ‘remarry’ his wife of ten years Rajimol though were filmy by all means.
Saju, now a businessman and Rajimol got love-struck in college ten years ago.
Strong opposition
However, the alliance of the couple was opposed tooth and nail by K K Sivan, the latter’s father who runs a private school.
Without taking into account the mounting pressure, Mr Saju’s family gave their nod to the pair who tied the knot at a simple function then.
The couple now has a 5-year-old daughter Sradha, and a four-month-old son.
The Mr K K Sivan family’s opposition continued till recently when finally the father relented.
“They had eloped and started a family at an age when they neither had the maturity nor wisdom to take decisions,” Mr K K Sivan said.
Now I am fulfiling my role as her father with the recognition and active support of the society,” said Mr K K Sivan on his turnaround.
The bride’s family organised the marriage according to Hindu tradition at the school auditorium in full view of a number of guests.
An awestruck Sradha who is also a student of her grandfather’s school stood between her parents as photographers clicked away at the rare spectacle.
