JD (S), BJP set to repel opposition
DH News Service, Bangalore:

The coalition partners, the JD (S) and the BJP, held the coordination committee meeting late on Wednesday ahead of the legislative session scheduled to begin from Thursday.

Both parties discussed strategies to counter the Opposition Congress which is armed with various issues, including proposed special economic zones, to attack the coalition government during the session.

Pro-development
“Let them (KPCC’s fact-finding committee) present facts that they claim to have gathered about SEZs...I am eager to know about it,” Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy told reporters after the meeting.

He further said the Congress party should cooperate in running proceedings of the session smoothly if it is pro-development.

 Sharing of MLC seats
Besides, the BJP has asked its coalition partner to give three of five MLC seats that have become vacant recently.
“We have asked for three seats of five...But no decision in this regard has been taken...It will be decided in coming days,” Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said. Mr Kumaraswamy, however, said the issue was not discussed at the meeting. “We have not discussed it in the meeting. We will tell you when it is decided,” he said.
