Police said Kumar had suffered severe head injuries. Kumar had not fastened his helmet strap, they said. The helmet did not have an ISI mark, it is learnt.
Youth murdered
An 18-year-old youth was murdered by a gang of four following a  heated argument in Parappana Agrahara Police Station limits. 
The deceased Ravi Kumar, a resident of Naganathpur, Hosur Road, was attacked by four persons — Ashok, Shashikala, Lakshmi Devi and Vijay Kumar — following which he fell on the ground and died. The accused, all residents of Sarjapur Road, used to quarrel with Ravi Kumar often, it is said.
Vehicle-lifter held
Basavanagudi police arrested a man and recovered six two-wheelers worth Rs 2 lakh from him.
The accused, Sandeep (25), along with Prashanth, who are said to be absconding, are involved in several two-wheeler  theft cases in the locality.
Pedestrian killed
A 70-year-old pedestrian was knocked down by a speeding motorbike on 7th Main Road, Rajajinagar on Wednesday evening.
Chinnappa was knocked down while he was crossing the road when the accident occurred. He was admitted to a private hospital, where he died.
Bike rider Raja (18) has been arrested.
