The petition by Akanksha Singh and Abhilash Singh studying ninth standard in New Cambridge English High School, Bangalore, represented by their father Lankeshkumar Singh, challenged the DDPI’s order rejecting their application to study Alternative English instead of Kannada subject.
The judge dismissed the petition saying  the exemption sought by them was not permissible.
