Chief Minister H D Kumaraswam’s two-day visit to Koppal district will begin with the inauguration of development works at Kushtagi on Friday afternoon.
According to official sources, the Chief Minister will fly to Kushtagi from Bangalore at 4.40 pm on Friday and take part in a foundation laying ceremony at the town before leaving for Koppal where he will inaugurate the construction of a commercial complex of the Wakf Board at 7.15 pm.
Mr Kumaraswamy is scheduled to visit the Weavers’ Colony after holding discussions with leaders of backward classes and minorities. He will hold discussions with Devadasis at the Marulasiddeshwara temple of Hiresindogi.
The Chief Minister will participate in a felicitation function at Alavandi a Janata Darshan programme at Neelayogipur where is scheduled to stay overnight. He will inaugurate a milk producers cooperative union at village on Saturday morning.
Later, he will lay foundation stones for various development works at Koppal and inaugurate a building of the local government first grade college, government employees’ quarters, district sports hostel and Kavalur pre-metric girls’ hostel.
During his visit, Kumaraswamy will also lay foundation stones for a 110 kV power station at Betager, Hiresindogi bus station, Koppal district stadium, district sub-jail building and a pre-metric hostel for minority communities, according to the sources.
