Keep politics away from education, says Alkod
Raichur:

Political interference must be avoided in the field of education, said Youth Services and Sports Minister Hanumanthappa Alkod.
Inaugurating a conference of school development and monitoring committee presidents, members and head masters organised by the District SDMC Chinthana Vedike on Thursday at Siddarama Jambaldinni Rangamandir here, he said that unity is required for public work. When it comes to development of education, everyone should work without any political interference and party differences. He hailed the programme which is the first of its kind in the State for having created stage to discuss problems. There are 45,000 SDMC's in the State which are full of confusions as something lacked in smooth coordination between teachers and SDMC members. This has to be discussed, he added.
Former education minister H Vishwanath who was the chief guest at the programme, said that all public programmes require discussions and questioning. But unfortunately education department officials are not invited to attend the conference, he added. In a democratic system, timely changes are required for the smooth running of the administration, he advised.
District Congress committee president A Vasanth Kumar, District JDS president Sheikh Rizwan, ZP Presidnet Roopa NiranjanBale and others were present on the occasion.
