Kuvempu University has cancelled the affiliation of five first grade colleges.
The decision to cancel affiliation was taken at the academic council and syndicate meetings of the university.
The dis-affiliated colleges are National Commerce Evening College of Shimoga, SriVenkateshwara First Grade College of Chitradurga, Devaraj Urs First Grade College of Davangere, AVS Education Institute of Ghantekanive in Tarikere taluk and Vijaya Sangama Education Institute of Hosadurga.
Students cautioned
In a press release, Director of College Development Council of Kuvempu University has cautioned that the principal, management and students of these colleges will bear the consequences if fresh admissions were done in these colleges.
