Premiers Discuss Kremlin Package
London, July 5
The Commonwealth Prime Ministers held a discussion on the implication of the recent changes Soviet hierarchy, according to authoritative sources.
The sources said there was a consensus that the dismissals of Mr Vyacheslav Molotov, Mr aze Kaganovich and Mr Georgi Malenkov were unlikely to make changes in the Soviet foreign policy. This was because in the recent past, it had already been in the effective control of Mr Nikita Khrushchev.
US Blasts Most Powerful A-Bomb
Nevada, July 5
The most powerful atomic test weapon exploded in the United States burst with earth cracking force over a brigade of entrenched marines today. The explosion was one of a series of tests being conducted here. It was originally scheduled to be set off on July 3, but was postponed.

Police Open Fire On Anti-Gokak Mob

Kolar Gold Field, July 5.
Twelve persons were injured, one of them seriously, when police opened fire to quell a violent anti-Gokak report agitators here. The trouble started this morning when about 10,000 people took out a procession in response to a call given by the students of the K.G.F. First Grade College, the World Tamil Sangam branch and other associations, to protest against the Government’s decision to accord sole first language status to Kannada in all schools in the State. As the procession reached Robertsonpet, a section of them turned violent.
