Power shutdown today
Due to some urgent works being taken up on 11 KV Tajnagar Feeder in Gulbarga city, there will be power shutdown in the areas served by the feeder on Saturday, from 9 am to 5 pm, GESCOM sources said.
The areas to be affected are: Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Chennavir Nagar, Tajnagar,  Shaha Bazar Tanda,  Shivashakti Nagar and Filter Bed Water Supply.
Lead Bank office shifted
The office of the District Lead Bank has been shifted to the Noor Complex Building in front of the Government Press on the MSK Mills Road, said Lead Bank Manager  S Ramakrishnan. Rs 6.4 cr spent on roads
Yadgir Panachayat Raj Engineering Division has spent Rs 6.44 crore for the development of rural roads under various schemes in Sedam, Shahapur, Surapur, Jeargi and Yadgir taluks in the year 2006-07, Executive engineer P B Holeyache said the amount spent on roads included Rs 1.54 cr from the 12th Finance Commission fund.
