Syndicate bank is selling gold coins under the name ‘Syndsona’ through its select branches, According to a press release, the scheme kicked off on Friday and around 50 kilograms of gold was sold out on the very first day.
The coins are available in denominations of 4 grams, 8 grams and 10 grams in tamper proof card with 999.9 purity certificate. The gold has been imported from Switzerland by the bank and the tie up arrangements enables the bank to offer very competitive rates to its customers. The bank is trying to achieve more sales in the festival season and has received bulk orders from its corporate clients as well as from individual customers. As many as 8 branches in Dakshina Kannada are designated for the sale of coins. They are in Hampankatta, Kankanady, Kadri, Car Street, Lalbagh, Panambur, Moodabidri and Puttur. The same scheme is carried out in Udupi also, the release added.
