Workshop on  curriculum
Mangalore University Commerce Teachers’ Association and Besant Evening College in Mangalore will jointly organise workshop on ‘BCom new curriculum’ on July 7 at 10 am at CBOO Hall. WNE Society President Kudpi Jagadeesh Shenoy will inaugurate the workshop. Prof Mallikarjunappa and Prof Sulochana Rao will be the guests of honour.
Rain report
Though rains receded in Dakshina Kannada district, it remained cloudy throughout the day on Friday. However, it started raining heavily in the evening.  Rains received in various taluks are : Bantwal (29mm), Belth-angady (19.2 mm), Uppinangady (19 mm), Puttur (20.2 mm), Sullia )20 mm), Bajpe (18.7 mm) and Mangalore (13.4 mm).
