Molotov Plotted Seizure Of Power
London, July 6.
Mr Nikita Khrushchev, Soviet Communist Party leader, said in Leningrad today that Coorgi Malenkov, Vyacheslav Molotov and Lazar Kaganovieh had a “cowardly scheme” to seize key positions in the Government and Party to change the Party’s political line.
But, he added, all the forces which had opposed the decisions of the 20th Party Congress had now been removed.

President Reprieves Vasu Pillai
New Delhi, July 6.
Vasu Pillai, Kerala Communist facing death sentence for the murder of a Congressman in a Panchayat election brawl in January 1954 has been reprieved by the President, it is learnt from reliable sources.

Minister Grilled On Bombay Stir

New Delhi, July 5.
Labour Minister Bhagwat Jha Azad was grilled by MPs today for taking an anti-labour stand in the Bombay Textile Mills strike. Participating in the meeting of the Consultative Committee attached to the Ministry, they charged him with trying to teach the workers a lesson.

Almost all the MPs urged the minister to take steps to end the dead-lock.
