Brain gym for the mind
If you were told to solve 4325x235 or 7354/2345, you would surely head for a calculator or a pen and paper to solve it. But if you were told to solve these sums without the help of any external aids, you’d say it is a very difficult job. But can you imagine that these sums were solved by an eight-year-old in just eight seconds without any external aids?
Aloha mental arithmetic, a brain development programme based on mental arithmetic system, helps you do just that. Children start with the use of an abacus and soon learn to do calculations without using a physical abacus. This training enhances a child’s ability to calculate with speed and accuracy, states a release. Aloha India has centres all over the country. In Karnataka, the 100th centre will be inaugurated at Hebbal, with programmes for children 6-14 years and 4-7 years. There will a live demo on Sunday, July 8 at 10-30 am at the centre.
