Law and order must be maintained in the district suggested Inspector General of Police , Central Range T G Doreswamy Naik here on Saturday.
He was addressing a meeting of the police officials of the district at the office of the district SP, Kolar.
Every police station limit should form a civic committee in which representatives from women, Dalit and also all categories should be included.
The monthly meetings should be held in which the assistant SP will chair.  All sub-inspectors, circle inspectors and Dy SPs should compulsorily attend the meeting. Holding such meetings will facilitate cordial relationship with the public, he said.
