Independence Day road race
Bangalore Sports Club will conduct their 12th Independence Day road race on August 5 outside the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore.
The race, for boys and girls in the under-11, under-14 and under-16 age groups, is exclusively for schools within the Bangalore city limits.
Entry forms will be issued from July 10. Physical education teachers can collect the forms from Uday K Prabhu, organising secretary, at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm on all working days.

Corporate cricket tournament

State-ranking    badminton

Alva re-elected BDFA chairman
K G S Alva was re-elected chairman of the Bangalore District Football Association for 2007-09 at its annual general body meeting.
S M Balu was elected honorary secretary and KR Shankar the treasurer.
