Office-bearers appointed
A K Saxena has been appointed as the national chairman of the Indian Institution of Production Engineers (IIPE) for the year 2007-2009.
He asumed office, on Saturday U Chandrashekhar took over as the national secretary of IIPE. Kishen Mehrotra, Om Prakash, Lakshminarayan and Vikram Kirloskar were selected as members of the governing council. Sudharshan Maini was appointed as a patron.
IPS officer transferred
Senior IPS officer Amar Kumar Pandey, DIGP (Forest Cell) has been transferred as registrar of Bangalore University, in place of Mr Sanjay Vir Singh. Mr Singh has not been given a post.
President selected
Mr Rajendra S Rajamane has been chosen as the President of Greater Bangalore Industries Association Board for 2007-08.
