After three days of intense searching, the sleuths of State Intelligence department have identified the house where Kafeel Ahmed stayed at Davanagere. However, the house owner is not available to media.

Kafeel Ahmed stayed with Sher Alikhan at Khan Manzil, house number 3993/33, Kuvempu nagar, MCC B Block, Davanagere between 1996 and 2000.

He stayed in the second floor as a paying guest by paying Rs 500 per month. He was eating utside, according to intelligence sources.

According to sources, the house owner and his family are in Bangalore to attend a family wedding. District in charge SP B Shivakumar said Sher Ali Khan would be questioned on his return from Bangalore on Monday.

 Susheelamma said her neighbour Sher Ali Khan owned a garage in the City. “Both of us had constructed houses in 1986. We knew them well.

He was renting out the house to anyone who paid higher rent without enquiring about their background. Students used to stay there. Some time back a Kashmiri couple had taken the house for rent for two years. But, we do not remember seeing Kafeel Ahmed,” she added.
