Sapna Book House has launched its second book mall at Indiranagar on 80 Feet Road. The new book mall is spread over 20,000 sq feet, fully air-conditoined and divided into various levels based on categories and products.
According to Nitin Shah, Managing Director this is the fourth and is the second largest extension after Gandhinagar Mall and both books and non-books items are available here, making it a single umbrella for book lovers and shoppers. This is the only book mall to furnish Kannada literature along with the forthcoming mall at Mysore during August 2007.
“Today we are leading a busy life and books are a source of entertainment.” Dr Sumatheendra Nadig, Former Chairman of National Book Trust of India remarked, “We should encourage the production and the sale of good literature.”
According to Dr Anil Abraham (the creator and voice of uncle Appukuttan on Radio City) “people should cultivate the habit of book reading and Sapna Book House is one such avenue which can be utilised.”
The new book mall is also offering various customer friendly schemes including Privilege Cards for Sapna loyalists and gift vouchers for shopping convenience and also promotes several educational, knowledge and talent related activities.
The mall also offers educational and entertainment CD-ROMs, music, movies, stylish stationery, toys, fashion jewellery, and other utility items.
They are planning to organise events like drawing and painting contests, story telling contests, debates and quizzes, book launches, authors meets and literary activities.
Sapna was awarded Best Publisher Award by the Kannada Pustaka Praahadikara,Government of Karnataka for the year 2000 and the other prestigious award as the Best Book Seller for the South India in the year 2003 by Federation of Publishers and Book Sellers Association of India, New Delhi.
