Prabha Mahesh Naik, Homemaker: Yes, I think Bangalore is becoming a terror hub. Previously, the City was a safe place to stay but now I feel that it has become the main centre for terrorism. I also think that Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India, is becoming a safe bed for terrorists. The actions of the two doctors at Glasgow is affecting the City’s image. Bangalore is not safe anymore.
Zainab, Student: Bangalore rocks! I think the City is perfectly safe for all of us. Bangalore is the garden city and nothing can happen to it. All these links to terrorist activities are just rumours and nothing more. People are just jealous of Bangalore and are trying to bring down its reputation. I wouldn’t be able to find any other place in India which will be safer and better than Bangalore.
Amit Agarwal, Software Engineer: Compared to the other cities in India, I feel Bangalore is a relatively safe place. It hasn’t given way to much of terrorism as of now. What has happened a few days back is a one off incident. It has absolutely nothing to do with Bangalore. I don’t think we need to pay any attention to the fact that both the doctors are from Bangalore.
Narendra, Chartered Accountant: I don’t think Bangalore is becoming a hub for terrorist activity. Just because of a few stray incidents you can’t say that the City is becoming dangerous. Those two boys went there to study and practice medicine. They went to the U K and then the attempt for the suicide attack took place there. I can’t understand how that makes Bangalore an unsafe place to live in.
