The Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS)
today threatened to launch an agitation, opposing the Government's
move to provide Tata Motors 300 acres of additional land near
Dharwad to develop a motor vehicles manufacturing unit.
Participating in a divisional convention, DSS State Convener
Laxminarayan Nagwar alleged that the Government was fooling the
people by providing land to Tata Motors under the pretext of
providing jobs to youth and developing the backward North Karnataka
region. Dalits and backwards would not get employment in this unit,
he added.
