Canara Bank Deputy General Manager Frederik Hosea of Hubli Circle has lauded the performance of the Gulbarga region in the growth of the Hubli Circle. He said the region has done well in the fields of agriculture, industry, credit link to self help groups and other schemes.
Inaugurating the conference of branch managers of the Bank of Gulbarga region comprising six districts here recently Frederik Hosea said the newly started Hubli Circle has grown leap and bounds by its splendid performance. It has registered a turnover of Rs 7,188 cr achieving a target of 102 per cent.
For priority sector, the Bank has advanced Rs 2,096 cr, agriculture - Rs 1,208 cr; and small scale industries - Rs 797 cr. “The contribution of Gulbarga region to the growth of Hubli Circle is highly commendable” Mr Hosea added.Assistant General Manager Vaman Shenoy of Gulbarga region said the region has posted a turnover of Rs 1,460 cr achieving a target of 105 per cent. This include Rs 700 cr for priority sector with agriculture alone getting a lion share of Rs 541 cr.
