Two persons were seriously injured when the driver of a Maruti Omni lost control over his vehicle and hit a compound wall at N K Road near Koppa town on Saturday.
According to police, the car is in a totally damaged. Prakash from Kushalnagar who was driving the car has received serious head injuries, while his aunt Seetamma has suffered fracture in her right leg. Prakash’s wife Asha escaped with minor injuries. It is said that the family was on its way to meet an astrologer at Kushalnagar and Prakash was in a sleepy state. Police said if Prakash had worn the seat belt, the head injury could have been averted and this should be made a rule henceforth.
A case has been registered.
