Madhya Pradesh is also feeling the heat of Rajasthan’s Gurjar unrest. The community in the state is in protest mode and the main opposition Congress is doing everything possible to fan its anger.
The state has a substantial Gurjar population. Incidentally, one of the assembly constituencies — Shivpuri — goes to polls on June 2. No wonder the BJP, keen to maintain its record of not losing a single byelection in its three-and-a-half-year-long stint in power, is wringing its hands in despair.
