Vishal Retail to expand

Vishal Retail Limited (VRL), plans to further expand its presence in Karnataka by opening four retail outlets in the current fiscal with an investment of nearly Rs 25 crore. “We plan to open one more retail outlet in Bangalore this year and open three outlets one each in Mangalore, Mysore and Hubli”, VRL Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Ram Chandra Agarwal told Deccan Herald.
VRL, which currently operates 50 retail stores spread across 18 states. Currently, VRL has one multi-product retail outlet in Bangalore. “Our Hubli outlet will be operational shortly. We are planning to invest nearly Rs 4.75 crore in each of our proposed outlets in Mangalore and Mysore,” he added.
We intend to make Bangalore make Bangalore as distribution centre to supervise supply of goods and materials to upcoming retail chains in four southern states, he said.
