Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at many places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal and South Interior Karnataka.
Rainfall amounts (cm): Jewargi, Yadgir, Molkalmuru, 5 each; Shahapur, Ponnampet, Davangere, Hosahalli 4, Guledgudd, Raichur, Muddebihal, Deodurg, Chitradurga 3, Ranebennur, Kushtagi, Jamakhandi, Hungund, Biligi, Nagathan, B Bagewadi, Sindagi, Afzalfur, Kakkeri, Gulbarga, Manvi, Lingasugur, Anavatti, Kammardi, Harihara, Jagalur 2 each. Maximum temperatures fell at most places over North Interior Karnataka and appreciably fell at most places over South Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places over North Interior Karnataka and markedly above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka. Chamarajnagara recorded the highest maximum temperature of 30.0°C over the State.
