Sowing takes back seat  
The raging fertiliser scarcity issue seems to have cast its shadow on the sowing operation.
Dont shoot farmers: CM  
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Wednesday said a special task force would be constituted to identify and initiate action against black marketeers and hoarders of fertiliser even as he directed the police not to resort to firing at farmers rallies.
Protect our interest in WTO talks, say farmer  
With the WTO trade talks on cutting farm subsidies reaching a crucial stage, farmers leaders here on Wednesday urged the Centre to withdraw from the Doha negotiations unless the issue of livelihood concerns of the farmers were addressed properly.
BSY rules out judicial probe  
"The government has already ordered for magisterial inquiry into the incident. The Divisional Commissioner will conduct inquiry and submit report within 10 days. We will take action against the guilty," CM said.
Gas leak: Students take ill
