Passion Quotient: The way to reach greater heights
DH News Service
"It is not Intelligence Quotient (IQ) but your Passion Quotient (PQ) that will take you to the pinnacle of success" says Virender Kapoor, author of 'The Greatest Secret of Success - Your Passion Quotient'

The Greatest Secret of Success - Your Passion Quotient’ is causing ripples in the market place. Perhaps the only book on the subject, it talks about the most important strength of human beings, which sets apart successful people from the unsuccessful ones. “It is not Intelligence Quotient (IQ) but your Passion Quotient (PQ) that will take you to the pinnacle of success” says the author, Virender Kapoor. This book will show you how to raise your Passion Quotient for achieving success!
The rich and the famous, the movers and shakers are not necessarily high school toppers, nor do they hold great college degrees. They are successful because they can generate enthusiasm at will, in themselves as well as in their colleagues.
Although passion is the most talked about subject, yet very little practical insight is available about it. Driving force differs from person to person. This book will help you find out, what is yours.
Today as our economy is booming new opportunities are popping up, new professions are emerging and application of technology and opportunities are limited only by our imagination. In this scenario everybody would like to improve his or her lot, and passion could play a pivotal part in this transformation.
In his own words, “This book will act like a guide to identify your strong likes and will give you ideas to generate passion and make it into a viable profession. This book will show where you stand today and give you courage to use your strengths productively.”
Kapoor says, “This is the time to experiment as earlier the options were limited. Today many more professions/vocations like mass communication, ITES, Consultancy, Telecom, Entertainment, Catering, Hotel Industry, Airlines to name a few have all proliferated to unbelievable scales. Many of us have gone far beyond the roti, kapda aur makan syndrome; so its time to experiment.” He then justifies, “I have met a lot of people — especially in the last ten years — who have been happily successful by taking on a profession which they actually wanted to be in.
This was another convincing reason to write this book.  And in net effect this is what I call liberalisation — we are today liberalised to follow our heart.”
This book charts the success of people from different walks of life as inspiring examples. “MF Hussein, AR Rehman and Narayana Murthy are all passionate about what they do and that is the secret of their success,” Mr Kapoor says. In the book, which is full of quotes he offers different suggestions to people with different temperaments. This book would be very appealing and useful for the students who while graduating from school want to decide which line of education they should choose. It would also be of immense use to those who after graduation want to get into a professional PG courses.

Add some fizz
At professional level it would be helpful to people from all verticals who want to raise their PQ, bring zing to their jobs and become more productive at work place.
School teachers, trainers and academicians will get more ideas to infuse some fizz into their disciples.  Parents would learn how to foster this virtual energy, and creativity into their children.  In short, it would help everyone to succeed in life.
Virender Kapoor’s earlier book “Heart over Matter” — Your Mantra for Success is already a best seller and is into its 9th reprint in a short span. Its translation in Hindi, Malayalam and Marathi are to hit the stands very soon. He is presently the Director of Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management. He is a post-gradate from IIT Mumbai and has a Masters in International Relations from the University of Pune.  He is an international speaker and also holds a popular Workshop called ‘The Winning Edge.’

An excerpt
This book establishes the fact that with conscious efforts we can identify what we like and what we don’t, which becomes the first step forward, you need not be madly in love with something to start with but constant efforts can always bring very positive results. Eventually, you should be able to say for yourself, “I live to work and not work to live” is the author’s mantra. Virender Kapoor has firmly established the concept of PQ and gives a new meaning to our driving force.  A must read for  corporate and student community.
