Water adalat at High Grounds
The BWSSB water adalat, central sub-division will settle disputes connected to water billing, delay in water supply and sanitary connection, delay in conversion from non-domestic to domestic connections on Wednesday, June 13 from 9.30 am to 11 am in the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, High Grounds.
Disputes of consumers under jurisdiction of HGR and Coles Park limits would be addressed.

8 acre site gets Rs 14.69 cr
It was a mixed bag for the State Revenue Department at the auction of recovered government land on Tuesday. While only one site out of the scheduled five could be auctioned on the day, there was cheer for the department in that the sole auctioned site went at a whopping 206.32 per cent of the corresponding guidance value.
An eight acre-36 gunta site in Gottigere village (Uttarahalli Hobli) was auctioned at Rs 14.69 crore to Hill Land Developers.
The guidance value in the area is Rs 80 lakh per acre. A seven acre-25 gunta site in Vaderahalli (Dasanapura Hobli) was not auctioned due to a court stay.
BDA official summoned
The High Court on Tuesday summoned the Commissioner of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). It was seeking an explanation regarding the non-issuance of a no objection certificate to an allottee, 16 years after a site had been allotted.
The petition filed by one DL Vijaykumar, stated that he had been allotted a site in Bapuji Layout, Nagarbhavi in 1991. There were some litigations and after an enquiry, though the Court had upheld the allotments, the BDA had been reluctant in issuing NOC for registration of the khata, petitioner stated.
Justice Ram Mohan who heard the matter directed the Commissioner to be present in person before the court on Wednesday along with the relevant records.
Killed in accident
Three persons died in separate road accidents in the last 24 hours on Tuesday. In a freak accident, a 38-year-old woman was run over by an unknown vehicle near Kogilu Cross on Bellary Road in Yelahanka traffic police limits on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Narasamma. Police said, she was travelling with her brother Lokesh. Her brother was in search of a petrol bunk and pushing the two wheeler after the petrol tank got dried up. Nara-samma got down from the vehicle and was trying to cross the road at the time of accident.
Don’t leave windows open!
Miscreants laid hands on the valuables after seeing the bed room windows open.
The incident was reported from J P Nagar 7th Phase, Eswar Layout. Police said, Chethana and her mother were fast asleep keeping the window doors open when the incident occurred.
The robbers took away a gold chain and a mobile worth around Rs 50,000.
