Protest rally condemning anti-agricultural policies
DH News Service,Raichur:
The BJP State Committee condemned the central government's anti- farmer policies and took out a a rally to protest against the government's anti farmer policies...

As per the state- wide call made by the BJP State Committee to condemn Central government’s anti-farmer agriculture policy, district unit also took out a protest rally in the city on Monday and submitted a memorandum  to the prime minister, through deputy commissioner Dr Ravishankar here at the DC’s office.
District BJP Raitha Morcha President Ramanagouda Jalibenchi  led a protest rally, which started from Veerashaiva Kalyan Mantap  through main streets in the city and ended at DC’s office. The protesters later submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner.
Raitha Morcha  has urged  to limit the rate of interest to farmers to 4 per cent and loans be waived up to Rs 25,000 as announced by the State’s BJP-JD(S) coalition government.
Dependence
Further, it has alleged that today our agriculture policy is at stake and we are  dependent on MNC’s for marketing apart from seeds, fertilisers and pesticides. Due to the anti-farmer agriculture policy by the Central government farm community today is heading on the path of suicide. In this situation BJP-JD(S) coalition government’s decision to waive loans and also to provide loans at 4 per cent interest is a welcome decision.
Moreover, if only this is implemented all over India and can suicide of farmers be controlled.
