Government will look into the proposal to upgrade Community Health Centre in Kushalnagar, said State Family Welfare and Health department Director Dr Rudrappa.
He was speaking to presspersons after paying visit to the hospital. With the upgradation from 50 bedded hospital to 100 bedded hospital, the hospital will get additional staff and facilities.
The government has released a sum of Rs 25 lakh for the opening of ICU in the hospital. The Centre will be provided with two ambulances. All the measures will be initiated to fill the posts of technical staff, doctors and other staff vacant in the centre. Dr Rudrappa said that the government has already appointed 250 doctors in the State. The process of appointing another 250 doctors is on. As many as 2,807 paramedical staff will be appointed soon.
Zilla Panchayat Standing Committee on Health President V P Shashidhar said that five trauma centres have been allotted to the district.
Mullusoge Gram Panchayat Member M S Shivananda urged the government to provide generator and hot water facilities in the hospital.
District Health Officer C A Annaiah, Dr Kishorekumar, Dr V Shivaram Nayak among others were present.
