Manipal police have arrested a person on charges of murdering his wife. Rudrappa Gowda from Hunagunda taluk in Bagalkot is the arrested.
According to the police, Rudrappa Gowda (22) had murdered his wife Gowravva (18) on last Sunday at Kundelukalu area and threw her body in a bush. Since then, he was absconding. Gowda’s suspicion that his wife had an illicit affair is said to be the reason behind the murder.
Based on a clue given by Gowravva’s brother Basavaraj, the police succeeded in nabbing the accused.
The body was traced in a higly decomposed state on Tuesday.
