Tumkur City station police arrested four notorious criminals who were planning to commit dacoity near Aralimarapalya Katte.
 A special squad formed by district SP P Harishekharan to nab thieves and dacoits arrested the gang along with lethal weapons.
The arrested are Srinivas, Venkatesh, Gopi and Mehboob Subani, who were already rowdy sheeters.
Circle Inspector Subbanna, SI Dinesh Patil led the operation.
