Controversial IAS officer and Mysore Lamps Company Managing Director Vijayakumar on Tuesday lodged a complaint with Lokayukta against Chief Secretary P B Mahishi and Commerce and Industries Department Principal Secretary K M Shivkumar.
According to sources, Mr Vijaykumar has accused the two senior IAS officers of indulging in “mal-administration and corrupt practices resulting in harassment and humiliation.”
He said, “my complaint establishes that P B Mahishi’s action in my case are unreasonable, unjust, oppressive and criminally discriminatory....there is wilful negligence and undue delay in taking action on my many requests made to him in writing.
Further, he has failed to act in accordance with the norms of integrity and conduct which ought to be followed by him as per IAS Rules applicable to IAS officers and he has not tolerated my absolute integrity at all times.”
Vijayakumar has further stated that Mahishi has abused his position as the Chief Secretary ‘to cause undue harm and hardship to me and my family. All these have been done to shield ‘corrupt officers.’He alleged stated that Shivkumar “had conspired with (former MD) A K Somanna and for the fear that both their corrupt activities would become public, prevented him from discharging his duties.” The officer asked the Lokayukta to call for all files pertaining to Mysore Lamps as, these officers are adopting method ‘to cover up their corrupt deeds as could be seen from the files in C&I department itself.’Mahishi and Shivkumar were not available for comment.
