The special court trying the multi-crore fake stamp paper case has once again postponed orders on the matter pertaining to doctors who had allegedly helped kingpin, Abdul Karim Lala Telgi.
Last week, orders were postponed as a tape regarding the conversation between the accused and the investigating officer was not brought on record. Now, the court has stated that the orders would be passed on June 14. Dr Gyanendrappa and Dr Chennakeshava were both arrested for allegedly helping Telgi obtain fake medical certificate.
Meanwhile, the trial in the Upparpet case continued with the court examining four witnesses. Chandrashekhar, assistant manager, Fouress Engineering India Ltd, Channbasavaraju, Divisional Manager, Oriental Insurance company and two others, that they had purchased fake stamp papers from Telgi’s associates.
