Call to set up herbal EEPZs  
It is appropriate time to set up EEPZ when India's export of herbal medicines to countries like US, Spain, UK, Australia, Russia and Indonesia have been growing at an average rate of over 25 per cent.
Equity, not quota in jobs, says Tata  
Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata observed that reservation per se cannot uplift the rural poor and other disadvantaged groups. "We want to create our country as a land of equal opportunities for all. We should establish a land of equality," he said.
CBDT yet to notify mode for FBT value  
The CBDT has decided that the first installment of Fringe Benefit Tax, which is payable by June 15 in respect of transfer or allotment of specified security or sweat equity shares to its employees, can now be paid by September 15 this year - the date of second instalment.
Wipro PCs go green  
The new range of products named "Wipro GreenWare" includes desktops and laptops that are RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous substances) directive compliant. This will in turn reduce substantial e-waste to the environment.
