Poor response for govt scheme from schools  
Only a minuscule number of schools derecognised for violating the medium of instruction norms have applied for the voluntary scheme in Bangalore North and South as the deadline set by the government for the scheme ends on Friday.
Air traffic disrupted  
A Colombo-bound Sri Lanka Air Lines Cargo flight UL 9172, while taking off, developed technical snag in one of its engines and got struck on the flight pathway for over two hours disrupting flight movement.
BBMPs clean drive to sweep diseases away!  
The BBMP has decided to launch an intensive cleaning programme from June 15 to August 14 in view of a probable outbreak of mosquito-borne diseases during the monsoon.
