Children sweat it out

A painful realisation dawns, that this society lives and thrives on child labour. We can say that there is no area of without the involvement of children in its production, marketing and distribution.
Child labour in independent India is
widespread. We nearly produce all the things needed for human life which comes from the tiny hands of our small citizens.Bangalore the rose capital of India sends a plane load of cut roses to Holland everyday all cut by petite children each one cutting 10,000 rose stems.
Bornfree Art School, through the history expedition has made these former child labourers into powerful artists who now think about liberating all the children through their art.
The Bornfree Art School is an exclusive school for street working and bonded labour children and teaching them paintings, sculpture, theatre, Music and films to produce a culture of liberation. They have even collaborated with Pakistan and sent them letter signed by a million children of India and Pakistan. In the spring of 2006, 15 freed, working children cycled 4040 kms through the states of Karnataka, Goa and Tamilnadu and the children were trained in photography and they produced 25,000 stunning images of working children. Thirty two hours of film footage capturing the dreams and aspirations of over 4000 children was logged.
Some of the children in Bornfree central committee include: Jayaram PK, 19 years old, State convenor student of Arts, Saravana D  studying in his first year MSW and lead India in the first Global congress of child labourers in Florence in 2004.
