ETAS sets up shop in City
Bangalore, DHNS:

ETAS Group, a global provider of end-to-end solutions in electronic control units to the automotive industry, on Friday, announced its entry into the Indian market.

The new subsidiary ETAS Automotive India Pvt Ltd has set up its headquarters in Bangalore.  With its Bangalore foray, the group is now present in four Asia Pacific countries.

Briefing reporters, ETAS Group CEO Matthias Klauda said “our tools will provide real-time simulations that will help assess the fuel consumption, energy requirements, calibration and sensor testing reducing the time-to-market.”

“As per our survey, the Indian Automotive Electronics area is growing at 22 per cent p a to reach about 4.49 billion Euros by 2010. Our target is to achieve revenues of 10 million Euros from our Indian operations by 2010,” ETAS India Managing Director Wolfgang Sienel said.

ETAS India will offer sales, marketing and technical support to both Indian and multinational manufacturers of automotive in the country. ETAS plans to directly partner with and support the OEMs  with their R&D efforts, he added.
