Activists of Dalita Sangharsha Samiti district unit, ire over burning of calendar which had photos of Dr B R Ambedkar and Babu Jagajeevan Ram behind the Harihar taluk office, urged for suspension of tahasieldar. The activists, who staged a road-block on Friday here, said that the calendar and posters which had Ambedkar and Babu Jagajeevan Ram’s photos, were given to the taluk     office for distributing them among the  government offices.
But the taluk office has shown the least respect by burning the calendars remaining after the distribution.
The tahasieldar should be held responsible for this and should be suspended, they said.
This act should also be brought to the notice of senior officials for further action, they urged.
They  submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner M C Dyaberi. He assured them of investigating into the matter and taking further action.
